The temporary obstructions to traffic flow along the Yaba railroad corridors have been destroyed by the Lagos State government.
The state's Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, made this announcement on Tuesday via his official X handle.
He said Lagos Waste Management Authority officials and the state’s Environmental Sanitation Corps carried out the exercise.
Naijacrawl recalls that on September 4 this year, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, inaugurated the Blue Rail mass transit commercial operations.
In a related development, the Commissioner, Wahab, said the state officials sealed up the Alamutu market at Idioro Mushin over poor sanitary conditions.
“Earlier today (October 3), we sealed up the Alamutu (Ologede) market at Idi Oro, Mushin, due to its poor sanitary conditions and inefficient waste disposal practices', he said.
