Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom cast his ballot on Saturday in favor of Peter Obi, the nominee of the Labour Party (LP).

At his voting location in the Tse-Ortom, Mzondu ward, Guma LGA of the state, Ortom cast his ballot for Obi.

The governor dumped his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Ortom is one of the G5 governors at loggerheads with Atiku and the PDP’s leadership.

The G5 group fell out with Atiku after he emerged as the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2022.
