Despite the absence of their prominent son, the burial arrangement for the parents of the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu Mr Isreal and Mrs Sally kanu continues as planned as the corpses of Kanu’s parents arrived at Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State where they would be laid to rest.

It will noted that Kanu, IPOB leader has been in exile in Israel after he jumped bail granted him during his trial and he has chose to stay off his parents burial rite in order not to be rearrested by the government.

Earlier today at the council headquarters, the bodies were received by the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, the transition committee chairman of the LGA and many prominent stakeholders on the ground to give them a befitting burial.
