The batch A and B beneficiaries of the social investment programme by the President Buhari administration tagged N-Power which cut across from various states of the federation peacefully protested in Abuja and implored the president not to send them back to the street.
The purpose of the protest was to demand for permanent placements and jobs.
It will be recalled that, the ministry in charge of the program said their tenure will come to an end next week Friday; that is ending of the month, of which new registration for the batch c is ongoing.
Though, the letter of engagement stated that the programme will be between 12-20 months but due to the unemployment rate in the country, the beneficiaries are afraid of going back to the street.
