Some gunmen loyal to separatist factional leader; Simon Ekpa attacked a town called Ishieke in Ebonyi state.

Simon Ekpa had earlier announced an ignored sit-at-home in the Southeast, with residents going about their daily activities.

The gunmen in an attempt to enforce the sit-at-home stormed Ishieke on motorycles at about 3:30pm this afternoon with sporadic gunfire, beating up business owners and setting vehicles and other properties ablaze, after which they left.

People could be seen going about their activities afterward, though the area was still tense.
