The Kano House of Assembly has confirmed Justice Dije Aboki as the first female Chief Judge of the state.
Her appointment was approved on Thursday, following a letter sent to the House by the state governor, Abba Yusuf.
The Daily Post recalls that the immediate past Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje, had, in March, appointed Aboki as acting chief judge of the state.
The Assembly also confirmed three more commissioner nominees sent by Governor Kabir-Yusuf.
The nominees screened were Ibrahim Namadi, Ibrahim Fagge and Amina Abdullahi-Sani.
Speaking after the confirmation, the Speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore, charged the cleared nominees to justify the appointment by being dedicated to their duties when assigned portfolios.
