As the November gubernatorial election in Imo State is fast approaching, some concerned Labour Party faithful in Imo State displayed their dissatisfaction against the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Peter Obi for supporting Athan and not endorsing Ikechukwu that was declared winner of the primary election by a high court.

The protesters stormed some popular places in Owerri with different banners to condemn the action of the leadership of the Labour Party.

It is important to note that both Athan and Ikechukwu are products of two different factions of the party and the duo are claiming authentic candidate.

Athan was recognised by INEC while a high court declared Ikechukwu the winner.

The protesters warned Peter Obi to back off from supporting Athan.

Meanwhile, Obi has promised to deliver the state for Labour Party in the governorship election .
