RT Hon Tajudeen Abass, the house of representatives for Zaria in Kaduna state has emerged as the House of Representatives speaker.



He emerged after a voice vote by Reps-Elects of the 10th National Assembly.

Voting is still on at this point but Hon Abass has attained enough votes to become Speaker.

Abass has scored over 200 votes which made him ahead the 181 threshold to win the race.

He defeated Idris Wase who until now has less than 10 votes.
