The priests, entire Catholic faithful and Christians of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu and beyond woke up from sleep on the 11th September with the sad news of the assassination of Rev Fr Jude Egbom whose sad event happened on the evening of 10th of September 2018.

Fr Jude Egbom who visited his home town Umuwala that very day, decided to have a hair cut at Nkwerre not knowing that the heavy hands of death were already at hand.

It was gathered that Fr Egbom who was with his junior seminarian was shot severally at the chest by unknown gun men at the hair saloon to the extent that stray bullet hit one of those running for their lives, and the seminarian wheavily wounded.
