The remains of late Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF’s) first female combat helicopter pilot, who died on 14 July 2020, will be laid to rest with full military honours at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Thursday, July 23.



This was disclosed in a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola. The statement also stated that the Minister of women affairs, Minister of Information, members of the National Assembly have paid visit to the Chief of Air Staff about the pathetic incident.

It will be recalled that Tolulope died in an accident at the Air force base in Kaduna state according to the Air force authority says, she was killed by a former school mate of her that wanted to reverse the car to pick her up.
