The Abuja-Lokoja road contractors have been given a two-month deadline to fix the issues by Senator David Umahi, the minister of works.
The former governor of Ebonyi State said he was not happy with some of the contractors during an interview on Channels Television on Thursday.
The Minister also disclosed plans to inspect most federal roads nationwide to determine their state of dilapidation before formulating a plan to repair them.
He said, “I have directed the contractors on the Abuja-Lokoja road to get back to work immediately, and I gave them two months to correct all the defects.
“Today I’m going to Kaduna-Kano Road; on Tuesday, I will be on the roads in the Southwest. I have to see things for myself”.
