The lluvia de peces (rain of fish) is a phenomenon that has been occurring yearly for more than a century in Yoro, a town in Honduras, in which fish fall from the sky.

It occurs up to four times in a year. It has attracted the attention of scientists, as well as documentary coverage by the History Channel in the United States.

After the rain has stopped fallen the people in Yoro will start gathering fish, and this has made some people attribute the scenario to a supernatural event.

However, scientists have given an explanation that the causes of the fish rain is as a result of the tornado hits rivers and lakes and it flings the fish to different locations which will then allow the fishes to be fallen as raindrop.
