The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Edo state, Mr Jack Obiyan yesterday disclosed that the Obaseki Mandate Forum has picked the All progressives Congress APC governorship nomination form for the incumbent governor of Edo state; Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The aide to the governor made this known through his twitter handle yesterday by posting some pictures of the forms.

It will be recalled that earlier yesterday, the main challenger of the governor in the June 22 APC primary election in the state, Pastor Ize Iyamu picked his own nomination form at the APC headquarters in Abuja.

It it instructive to note that, both Obaseki And Ize Iyamu were the main contestant in 2016 election in Edo state but from different political parties until Ize Iyamu defected to APC last December.

Meanwhile, with the daily increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the state, it is not certain if the direct mode of primary election will still be used in the state.
