towards the forthcoming Lagos East senatorial bye election which is scheduled for October 31, a former Managing Director of Polaris Bank Plc, Adetokunbo Abiru has officially joined the race for the Lagos East Senatorial District has he picked up his nomination form yesterday.



It will be recalled that the ex bank MD retired from his position in order to be able to contest for the position some days ago.

He was received at the All Progressives Congress (APC ) party Secretariat on Acme by the State Chairman, Hon Babatunde Balogun and other party executives.

Shortly after, he purchased the Nomination and Expression of interest forms.

A source said “The visit availed him the opportunity to address the party leaders on his Legislative agenda and plans for the district, State and Nigeria.”

*BREAKING!* Former Enugu State governor, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani has been declared the winner of Enugu East senatorial election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Announcing the results at about 9.16 am today, the returning officer Prof.Aloysious Okorie stated that Nnamani polled 128,843 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prince Lawrence Ezeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 14,225 votes.
