The cheapest excuses for such project abandonment is usually that either the cost were over inflected with possibility of sharp practices or that too much money have been paid to the contractors already without commensurate work so far, while most of the  contractors usually start make demand for upward review from the new administration owing to inflation over time. Another reason is the petty jealousy over who takes the credit. Most administrations hardly see why they should uphold the legacies of their predecessor. They forget that government is a continuum and they all ought to work for the common good of the masses. 

As a Governor

Ekene Uzodinma intends to revisit all the abandoned people oriented projects in Enugu State and ensure their completion within the shortest possible time and put them to profitable use. He also plans to revive all the moribund state owned industries and make them operational. The jobs that all the moribund industries and and abandoned projects will create would have gone a long way in addressing unemployment in the state. His agricultural revolutionary master plan alone which entails that every local government must have not less than 1,000 acres farm with integrated production, preservation and marketing scheme will absorb over 15,000 youths within the first one year in office. 

As a Governor

Ekene Uzodinma plans to expand Enugu city by building industrial clusters and ultra modern markets and parks at strategic areas such as Ninth Mile Corner, Amechi Idodo, Ozalla, Ngwo, Amechi, Ugwaji and so on which will in addition to decongesting the present city metropolis, open up those areas and translate to a more vibrant economy. Part of his economic blue print is to turn Enugu into the commercial nerve center of the south east while harnessing our strategic location and landmark position in Igbo land. Ekene Uzodinma plans to engage reputable private investors, both local and foreign to explore all remarkable economic potentials of the state for the good of our people.

As a Governor 

Ekene Uzodinma plans to revive our educational system with special emphasis on the most neglected areas -the primary and secondary schools. He is deeply touched by the gross neglect of that foundational aspect of human development by the successive administrations and intends to declare a state of emergency in education immediately he assumes office. Part of his plans are to improve infrastructure and teachers welfare, employ highly qualified teachers to fill up all existing vacancies and the  introduction of modern teaching techniques and ICT. Simply put, he plans to make private schools unattractive as parents will testify to the noticeable difference and watch pupils in the public schools compete favourably, if not better than most of their counterparts in the private schools. The tertiary institutions will be restructured to eliminate all manner of corruption and upgraded to become truly research based and innovative to produce sound graduates who will not only parade certificates but are embodiments of solution. 

As a Governor

Ekene Uzodinma will streamline all government levies and taxes to eliminate multiple taxation and reduce the high cost of doing business in the state. He intends to promote entrepreneurship and grant free tax status to all beginners and small scale businesses with less one million naira capital base. 

Ekene Uzodinma's vision is to prove to the entire that rather than using political position to loot public treasury and for primitive acquisition of wealth, that it is possible to be different. It is possible to be selfless and allow God to use him to make history. The reason our people have not seen a government that could do all the things he itemised is because of greed and desperation which assumed grotesque proportion from the late 70s, a close attention to Nigeria history shows that our founding fathers, the likes of Dr Micheal Okpala did so  much with limited resources because they saw leadership as a platform for service and accountability. Today politicians leverage on our collective docility and feast on on our common wealth. Enough is enough!

As a Governor

Ekene Uzodinma does not intend to see payment of workers salaries and pension as an achievement worth celebrating. Neither does he want to campaign with promises of road construction or maintenance. To him, these are very basic things that ought to be done and which do not deserve unnecessary media hype. Unfortunately, in most cases the much taunted salaries are not even paid as at when due, gratuity of most retired workers are far from the story. Pensioners are the ones in the best position to tell us how often they get paid not radio stations manned by sycophantic government appointees. This is 21st Century, in addition to ensuring regular payment of workers salaries and pension, Ekene Uzodinma's leadership style will channel more energy on how to build a vibrant system that will make government truly responsive and accountable to the people.
