President Muhammadu Buhari has been sworn-in for a second term in office at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

The Acting Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, administered the oath of office at 10:37am.

The president was flanked by his wife, Aisha when the oath was being administered.

Our correspondent reports that earlier, the acting CJN had administered the oath of office on the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo at 10:25am.

He was also flanked by his wife, Dolapo.

The ceremony was witnessed by some members of the first family.

Our correspondent reports that Saraki and Tinubu hugged each other at the event.

Naijacrawl reports that there was tight security at the venue.

Major events for the swearing-in have been shifted to June 12, the country’s new Democracy Day.

President Muhammadu Buhari has once again emerged victorious in the just concluded presidential election in Kaduna state. Buhari polled a total of 993,445 votes beating Atiku abubakar of the peoples Democratic party PDP who polled a total of 649,612 votes.

Buhari won in 14 local governments while Atiku emerged victorious in 9 local governments. The collation of the results took place in the inec office in Kaduna and was presided over by the state collation officer BB shehu.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been declared the winner of the presidential election in katsina state which is his home state. He polled a total of 1,232,133 votes beating his closest rival Atiku abubakar of peoples Democratic party PDP who polled total of 308,056 votes.

Katsina has total registered voters of 3,210,422 and number of accredited voters are 1,628,865. The total number of votes cast is 1,619,185. While 63,712 were rejected.

Buhari won all the 34 local government councils in the state.

From the report reaching our desk now, the president of Nigeria and the APC presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari has emerged victorious in Niger state beating his closest rival Atiku abubakar of the peoples Democratic party PDP.

Mr president had total of 612,371 votes in the state while Atiku of PDP has 218,052 votes. This was announced by anjela Mary the Niger state collation officer for the presidential election. She said the total number of registered voters was 2,375,568,while the total number of accredited voters was 911,964. The number of valid votes was 851,937 while 45,039 votes was rejected. From the collation it shows that Buhari won in all 25 local councils of the state.
