After losing out in the PDP primary election for the forthcoming Kogi state gubernatorial election, Senator Dino Melaye as today officially rejected the PDP campaign director general offer him by the party.
The senator made this known through a tweet from his Twitter page, he tweets;
Let me state categorically that I have turned down the position of Director-General of the PDP Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council. I wish PDP all the best. When truth is a casualty there is chaos. Senator Dino Melaye”
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on Wednesday said he will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convincingly in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State.
Bello who is seeking reelection on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also said he is not threatened by the fact that Engr. Musa Wada, the governorship candidate of the PDP is from Igalaland in Kogi East senatorial district.

The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, was left deflated and completely disgraced today at the Palace of the Oba of Benin after his convoy was blocked by angry residents, numbering in hundreds, who booed and disparaged the Governor as a thief.
Governor Obaseki was reportedly at the Palace for royal blessings as he flagged off his campaign as the candidate of the PDP in the Governorship election.
Upon sighting his convoy from a small distance, the people, hitherto rejoicing and making merry as is usual at the ancient Palace, immediately formed an angry mob of protesters and confronted the embattled Governor with chants of “thief” and other disgraceful epithets, demanding that he leaves the Palace and not “pollute the environment with his dishonorable self.
