Rt.
Hon Adejare Bello, an erstwhile Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, has left the Peoples Democratic Party owing to the fringed relationship with the family of the governorship candidate of the party.
In a lengthy letter addressed to the State Chairman of the party, a copy of which was sighted by our medium, Bello officially resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party effective today.
Although, the party the former speaker would be heading for is not known yet, but from all indications, the All Progressives Congress would most likely play host to him.
A source close to the former Speaker cited irreconcilable differences with the Adeleke family as the major reason for leaving the party. The source described recent events within the PDP fold as a clear signal that Hon. Bello is no longer wanted in the PDP.
In his letter, he thanked the party for the opportunity to serve as the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the State Party Chairman and the Deputy Governorship Candidate.
Lastly, he said ```“It is my belief that certain elements have hijacked the rudder of the ship of the party and changed its cause towards an unknown path of which I am not ready to take”``` he concluded.
