Christy Ucheibe of the Super Falcons was ranked sixth best tackler at the recently finished 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).



On Tuesday, FIFA posted the rankings to its official Twitter account.

Ucheibe played in each of the Super Falcons' four competition games.

At the quadrennial competition, the midfielder from Portugal's Benfica made 36 tackles.

Australia’s Katrina Gorry topped the list with 59 tackles, with Jackie Groenan of the Netherlands and George Stanway of England joint second with 44 tackles.

Sweden’s Filipa Angeldahl is third (43 tackles), and at number four is Grace Geroyo of France (40 tackles).

England’s Lucy Bronze sits in fifth place with 37 tackles.

The Super Falcons bowed out of the competition in the last 16 after losing 4-2 on penalties to the Three Lionesses of England.
