Brazilian football icon Romario, aged 58, has announced his return from retirement to join America Football Club in Rio de Janeiro.

This move comes after 15 years of absence from the sport. Romario, celebrated for his World Cup victory in 1994 and stints with prestigious clubs like PSV and Barcelona, is set to play alongside his son Romarinho, who also represents America.

As the club's president, Romario expressed his excitement to don the jersey of his "favorite" team and share the pitch with his son.

Despite receiving a nominal wage, Romario intends to donate his earnings back to America Football Club. This remarkable comeback resonates with Romario's enduring passion for the beautiful game and family ties.
