Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, is being linked to a sensational return to Juventus to take over for Max Allegri, who is currently facing criticism.

Following a shocking 1-0 loss to the bottom team Monza last weekend, Allegri is under intense pressure in Turin.

Juve also dropped both of their opening Champions League group stage contests.

With two victories from their opening seven games, they are currently ranked eighth in Serie A.

Due to the club's mediocre start to the season, rumors have it that Allegri, who has received criticism from fans, may be replaced.

Conte is said to be "open" to returning to Juventus if Allegri loses his job, according to reports in Italy.

Conte has not yet agreed to a contract extension with the Premier League team past the summer of 2019.

Spurs are undefeated in the Premier League thus far this year, and they are only one point behind league leader Arsenal.

Nonetheless, the 53-year-old has previously said he has “unfinished business” in Turin and is believed to be Juventus director Pavel Nedved’s number one choice to replace Allegri.

Conte managed Juventus between 2011 and 2014 and lifted three Serie A titles before he dramatically fell out with club chief Andrea Agnelli after feeling he wasn’t backed in the transfer market.
