Italy and Juventus skipper Gianluigi Buffon has confirmed he'll be leaving Juventus at the end of the season, claiming this Saturday's match against Verona will be his last match in the shirt of the old ladies.


The 40yr old Italy and Juventus captain made this known In an emotional press conference on Thursday, Buffon and Juventus president Andrea Agnelli appeared to confirm that Saturdays final league encounter against Verona. Although he is still undecided on the club he's moving to next, but he has made it clear he is not retiring yet.Buffon was the runner-up for the Ballon d'Or in 2006, and was elected to be part of the FIFPro World XI, an honour which he also achieved two more times. He is the first goalkeeper ever to win the Golden Foot Award, which pertains to both personality and playing ability. He was also the first goalkeeper ever to win the Serie A Footballer of the Year award, and has also been named the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year a record 12 times. He has been in Juventus since 2001, winning 9 Seria A title, 6 Italian super cup and 5 Italian cup.
