Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface will miss the upcoming Bundesliga encounter against Freiburg, as confirmed by DAILY POST.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international recently resumed full team training after recovering from a muscle injury sustained during international duty last month. However, Leverkusen’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, revealed that Boniface is not yet fully fit to return to action.
“Victor Boniface, Amine Adli, and Jonas Hoffmann are unavailable for the game due to injuries,” Alonso stated during a pre-match press conference.
Boniface has been a standout performer this season, netting eight goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself.
Leverkusen fans will hope for a speedy recovery for their star striker, who has been instrumental in the team’s attacking success so far this campaign.
Stay tuned for updates on Victor Boniface’s fitness and Leverkusen’s performance in the Bundesliga.
