Chelsea have reached an agreement over personal terms with Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, according to Ignazio Genuardi.
Chelsea are thought to be in the market for another first-choice centre-back after missing out on signing Jules Kounde, who is set to join Barcelona from Sevilla in the coming days.
Fofana has been linked with a move away from Leicester this summer, and it seems as though Chelsea may now be taking steps in order to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are yet to settle on a transfer fee at club level, though, with Leicester City likely to demand a significant sum in order to let go of Fofana before the new season gets started in August.
Fofana is currently tied down with a long-term contract at the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old had a tough time last season after sustaining a broken leg in Leicester’s pre-season tie against Villarreal.
