Chelsea board takes decision on bringing Thomas Tuchel back to Stamford Bridge
The Chelsea board continues to support Graham Potter and believes it is impossible for manager Thomas Tuchel to return to Stamford Bridge.
Following his team's shocking 1-0 loss to Southampton in the Premier League last weekend, Potter is under intense pressure at the west London club.
With 11 points separating them from fourth-place Tottenham, Potter's team is currently in 10th place in the Premier League standings.
Following the loss to Southampton, there were calls from supporters and some football analysts for Chelsea to fire Potter.
A portion of Chelsea supporters believe that firing the former head coach of Paris Saint-Germain last September was a mistake, and they have already sung Tuchel's name during matches this season.
According to the Evening Standard, Potter is believed to have the support of the Chelsea hierarchy and is the best coach to improve the climate at Stamford Bridge.
The report added that the idea of Tuchel returning to Chelsea is "impossible" as the Blues’ chiefs "grew frustrated" with how the German worked during his time at the club.
