Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has claimed that his former club are in contention to sign England World Cup star, Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Scholes said that Bellingham would not sign for Real Madrid this summer's transfer window, adding that the 19-year-old could make Manchester United a proper team.
Bellingham is expected to make a big-money move away from Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
Speaking on BT Sport before Man United’s Europa League quarter-final first-leg 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Thursday night, Scholes said: “I think they’re contenders [to sign him]. If you went back a couple of years, you’d have said there was no chance. even back to the start of this season.
“But now I think they have to be. He would look at this team and think this is up and coming for the next few years.
“I do think he will sign for Real Madrid, I am not sure why, but I do hope he comes here. He could make [Manchester] United a proper team.”
