Mondays World Cup qualifiers saw France win away in the Netherlands, Sweden beat Bulgaria and Portugal and Belgium each hit six.




Paul Pogba reacted to criticism from coach Didier Deschamps last week to hit the winner for France in their Group A clash in Holland.

Pogba strode forward on the half hour and hit a fierce 30-yarder past Dutch Keeper Maarten Stekelenburg.

Hugo Lloris late save from a Memphis depay shot helped secure the points.

In other Group A action, goals from Ola Toivonen, Oscar Hiljemark and Victor Lindelof gave Sweden a 3-0 home victory over Bulgaria, while Belarus drew 1-1 with Luxembourg at home.Group B leaders Switzerland stayed perfect with a 2-1 win in Andorra thanks to a first-half penalty from Fabian Schar and a late header from Admir Mehmedi header.

Minnows Andorra pulled one back late on but the Swiss held on.

Andre Silva notched a first-half hat-trick as Portugal eased to a 6-0 win against the Faroe Islands.

Cristiano Ronaldo also got on the score sheet with a long-range shot on 65 minutes.

Belgium also hit six, with Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke grabbing a hat-trick including the fastest ever World Cup Qualifying goal after just seven seconds.

Elsewhere, Edin Dzeko was at the double with goals in the 70th and 80th minute as Bosnia-Herzegovina downed Cyprus 2-0 in Group H.
