Rio Ferdinand, a former player for Manchester United, believes that Chelsea defender Levi Colwill will soon play a significant role for the England national team.
Colwil, according to Ferdinand, is a fully-rounded football player, and his mindset is strong.
Colwill has earned a regular starting position for Chelsea this year at Stamford Bridge under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 20-year-old has impressed with steady performances, contributing to Pochettino's team's four shutouts.
Colwil has one assist in nine games for the Blues in various leagues, including the Premier League.
“I see him as the England center-half in waiting because I think he’s got everything,” Ferdinand said (via football.london).
“I saw him at Brighton, composure, asked to play a different way, and adapted straight away. As long as he stays on it, his mindset stays strong, and he works at his game still, I think he’s got a huge opportunity.”
