Sam Matterface, a football pundit, believes that Cristiano Ronaldo's goal for Manchester United against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday should have been allowed.
The 37-year-old thought he had broken the tie early in the second half before Pawwas made the decision to book the Portuguese.
After stealing the ball from Newcastle's goalkeeper Nick Pope in the middle of the field, the Portuguese legend scored the peculiar goal.
The visitors were initially given a free kick for an earlier offside, but Pawson blew his whistle to restart the game and allow the visitors to take it.
Ronaldo and his teammates disagreed with the official's ruling, claiming the free kick had already been taken.
Matterface said, “That free-kick was taken. That free-kick was taken by somebody else. Ronaldo was telling Fabian Schar and said, "You touched that back to Nick Pope." And he did!
“I think that’s quite generous to Newcastle United. It’s sloppy play from Nick Pope and Fabian Schar, who I think had already taken the free-kick. "
