AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud has described Chelsea’s decision to sack manager Thomas Tuchel as "sad".
Giroud also backed Arsenal to finish in the top four positions in the Premier League table this season.
The France international enjoyed spells at both Chelsea and Arsenal during his time in the Premier League.
Asked about Chelsea’s decision to dismiss Tuchel, Giroud told Sky Sports News: “It’s part of football. It’s sad. I think Thomas has done a great job for Chelsea.”
Commenting on Arsenal, Giroud added: “I’ve also been watching my Gooners. I think it’s going to be another interesting year for them.”
When asked if he believes Mikel Arteta can guide Arsenal to a top-four finish this season, Giroud replied: ”Yes, definitely. I hope so.”
