Graham Potter has stated that he won't waste his time worrying about the unfavorable comments and criticism he receives from Chelsea's fans.
Despite their recent humiliation at the hands of Manchester City, where they chanted for Thomas Tuchel to come back, the Englishman is confident he can win them over in the future.
He insisted that while he understands the fans' annoyance over the team's recent string of disappointing results, the next game is currently more important for him.
Sunday's 4-0 defeat of Chelsea at the hands of City at the Etihad Stadium was the result of goals from Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez, and Phil Foden.
And the away fans chanted the name of Tuchel, who was surprisingly sacked by the Blues’ new owners back in September 2022.
The chants were impossible for the manager and his team to ignore, and the former Brighton boss addressed the matter in his post-match press conference, saying: “We can’t do anything but do our jobs better and work harder."
"We understand the supporters’ frustration." There are always other opinions, criticism, and negativity, but that’s part of the challenge.
“It’s always challenging in the Premier League, and it’s always challenging here."
“That’s clear. "We have to focus on the next day, the next match.”
