Former Liverpool star and Germany international Didi Hamann has said that Chelsea forward Kai Havertz does not even know how good he is.
According to him, the forward is "one of the best in the world."
The Germany international joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen for 71 million pounds in 2020, but has endured a mixed spell at Stamford Bridge.
Havertz was the top scorer in 2021 when Chelsea won the Champions League, but his overall record in the final third—31 goals in 127 games—is not particularly impressive.
Havertz has flattered to deceive for much of the season, but Hamann the player has been ‘fantastic’ and strongly believes the 23-year-old is ‘one of the best in the world’.
“I think Kai Havertz has been fantastic,” he told BestGamblingSites.
“And with him, I just feel that he doesn’t know how good he is because, for me, he’s one of the best in the world.
“He has done well for Chelsea, but I just feel he could do so much more because that’s how good he is.”
