Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has heaped huge praise on Arsenal midfielder, Fabio Vieira, following his performance against Brentford last weekend.

Ferdinand described Vieira as a fantastic player, adding that he was a good signing.

Vieira, who joined Arsenal from Porto this summer, made his first league start for the Gunners against Brentford.

He latched onto a Bukayo Saka pass, looked up, and curled the ball home with a left-footed strike during the encounter against Brentford.

His 49th-minute goal left Ferdinand mighty impressed, with the Englishman taking time out to praise the Portuguese’s well-taken goal.

On his YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: “Vieira’s goal, wow."
