The best player in the world right now, according to former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves, is Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid.
In Real Madrid's most recent 3-2 victory over Napoli in Group C of the UEFA Champions League, Bellingham scored an intriguing goal.
The England international drove into the box, weaving through defenders with his strength and speed before beating Alex Meret of Napoli to the ball.
He now has eight goals and three assists for Real Madrid in just nine games across all competitions after his goal against Napoli.
Speaking about the 20-year-old, Hargreaves told TNT Sports: “He’s the best player in the world right now, in his current form. I know it’s only early doors, but we just heard the numbers…nine games, eight goals, and three assists.
“He’s not even playing his position. He’s not a No. 10, and he’s scoring goals like a No. 9, replacing [Karim] Benzema.”
