Josko Gvardiol, a target for Chelsea, received praise from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry for his performance in RB Leipzig's 3-2 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Gvardiol is a strong player, according to Henry, who also mentioned that Chelsea want to sign him.
In Leipzig's victory over Real Madrid, Gvardiol not only provided the game's first goal but also three tackles, one interception, and four clearances.
Henry was impressed by the defender's performance against Real Madrid and showered the player with praise. The Croatian international completed 73 passes with a passing accuracy of 94.5%.
“It is a rare breed to have a centre-back with a left foot. What I like is, and you have to give credit to Croatia and Dinamo Zagreb, They produce players at will. He is strong. "An eye for a pass,” Henry said (via Football London).
He added, “Chelsea want him and I can name a lot of teams. He’s good at defending and he is good in the air on set-pieces, but more importantly, if you are a left-footed centre-back, then suddenly people come for you.”
