Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been named as the "ideal" replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool if the German gaffer leaves his role as manager at Anfield.
Liverpool are currently finding life very difficult, as the 2022-23 season has been one to forget for the Reds, with a shocking 3-0 defeat at Wolves at the weekend leaving them 10th in the Premier League.
Klopp has turned things around at Anfield since he became the manager and has won them the Premier League and Champions League titles, among other trophies.
But there are huge questions surrounding his future at Anfield at the moment
The club is not talking about sacking the German, at least for now, despite the bad results, but it is not out of the question that he could leave in the summer.
And Charlie Nicholas, an Arsenal legend, has pointed to the Celtic boss as a replacement for Klopp in Liverpool’s dugout.
“I would be concerned about the possible impact a managerial change at Anfield could have on Ange Postecoglou,” Nicholas told the Scottish Daily Express.
“I know the Liverpool fans don’t want Klopp out, but what happens if he turns around and says enough is enough?"
“If Liverpool were to look for a manager, then surely Ange would have to come into the equation. "Ange would be ideal for Liverpool.”
