Jordan Henderson, a Liverpool midfielder, has slammed the Football Association's decision to keep the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

Despite travel mayhem, the FA refused to shift Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final match against Man City from Wembley to a northern venue next month, however it will provide 100 free coaches for fans.

Fans risk travel mayhem after it was revealed that trains from the northwest would not be running into London over the Easter weekend, when the FA Cup semi-final games will be played.

And Henderson, who wants the FA Cup semi-final to be held somewhere other than Wembley, thinks the FA's choice is 'disappointing' since it will cost a lot of people money, and that it isn't ideal for the fans.

"It is really upsetting to see that it is a challenge and that it is going to be expensive for them [fans] to get there," the England star stated, according to the Mirror. I've been thinking about the fans a lot lately. In many ways, I believe it is their day, and they are unable to travel to London for many reasons, including the cost of doing so.

"It would make sense, in my opinion, to move it to a neutral (other) location, especially because it is two teams from the northwest." It's terrible for the supporters, and I understand the FA is considering adjusting the kick-off time to aid, as well as providing coaches for both Liverpool and City fans, which should help. But, without a doubt, it is not ideal for the supporters."

"I enjoy playing at Wembley," he continued. "It's a tremendous event, and a fantastic stadium," he says. However, I'd prefer to keep Wembley for the finals. I believe the semi-finals should be held on neutral ground, as they were in the past. That was a lot of fun, a lot of fun, and a lot of fun.
