The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, responded to his team's exit from the UEFA Champions League this year.
Barcelona's 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich at Camp Nou on Wednesday resulted in their elimination from the Champions League.
The Catalan club prayed for a miracle that Viktoria Plzen would defeat Inter Milan, giving them a chance to salvage their Champions League position.
However, Inter ultimately destroyed Plzen, sending Xavi Hernandez's team out of the European competition once more.
Laporta responded by saying it was unfortunate to witness Barca lose to Bayern 3-0 in Spain, knocking them out of the tournament.
Laporta said to Barca TV, "It's unfortunate, but you can't blame the players or the coach for anything."
We still have La Liga and other competitions to play in, so we must look ahead.
Barcelona will now have one more inconsequential game to play against Viktoria Plzen in November before heading to the Europa League.
