Football stakeholders in Kwara State have urged spectators to maintain order during this season's home games of Kwara United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
After performing at neutral locations for almost two years, the Harmony Boys are staging a comeback to the Kwara State Sports Complex.
On Sunday, Kwara United and the Abia Warriors will square off at their home field.
Mallam Bola Mogaji, the chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, urged spectators to abide by the rules that would be in place during home games.
“No team pushed out of its domain does well, and the experience of last season has shown us this. So, let us all join hands to ensure we have a successful season,” he stated after the stakeholders meeting held on Thursday.
“We have received several commendations from the NPFL in the last five seasons because of the way we handle proceedings during home matches in Ilorin, and we want to sustain that momentum, for the sake of all.”
Kwara United suffered a defeat in their week-one fixture against Katsina United last Saturday.
