On Wednesday, Kwara United and Sunshine Stars will square off in a practice game.

At the Kwara State Stadium complex in Ilorin, the match will take place.

The friendly game is a part of both teams' preseason training for the start of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in 2023–2024.

The Harmony Boys will play their home games at the recently renovated stadium in the upcoming campaign.

Following the re-grassing of the field, Kwara United played every one of their home games in Ibadan and Akure during the 2022–2023 season.

On September 16, Kabiru Dogo's group will begin their NPFL campaign with a game away to Katsina United.
