Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has warned Arsenal that Manchester City are “smelling blood” in the title race.
Neville was speaking to Sky Sports in reaction to the Gunners’ 2-2 draw at West Ham on Sunday.
Arsenal’s lead at the top has now been cut to four points ahead of City, who have played one less fixture.
This week, Mikel Arteta’s men host Southampton and have the chance to go seven points clear, with City having a FA Cup semi-final against Sheffield United.
“Man City will be buoyed by Sunday, smelling blood, and Arsenal have just got to resist those thoughts; maybe not look at the newspapers or the social media because there will be the suggestion City are coming on top.
“You always have to cope with that." The year Blackburn beat us to win the league, there was a point where it looked like they were going to falter and they came back,” Neville said.
