Man Utd dressing room ‘leaks’ must stop under Ten Hag – Fred
Manchester United midfielder Fred has said dressing room leaks will have to stop as Erik ten Hag takes over.
However, the Brazilian midfielder insists stories of a divided squad last season were overblown.
Rumours of unrest among players at Old Trafford cast a shadow over an already miserable campaign, as United finished sixth in the Premier League.
Fred has urged his teammates to improve their chances of success next season by “minimising” rumours leaking out.
“Manchester United are a huge club, one of the biggest in the world, so there’ll always be rumours about the dressing room and numerous other things and we need to minimise this."
"Unfortunately, a lot of fake news comes out in the media trying to harm our dressing room. We weren’t doing well in the league.
“It’s behind us now." We now have to think about the future, next season. We need to forget about last season, identify the errors and not repeat them, "Fred said in an interview with ESPN in Bangkok.
Last month, United CEO Richard Arnold claimed the two people suspected of leaking information from the dressing room have now left the club.
Arnold, however, did not reveal the identity or role of those involved.
