- Matteo Darmian verbally agrees to join Juventus in the summer

- Roma and Napoli have also been linked with the defender

- Darmian is frustrated at United for lack of playing time

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has reportedly agreed to join Serie A champions Juventus at the end of the season.

According to Italian outlet, Calciomercato, the Italian defender claimed he has told the Turin club he will join but there is no concrete deal just yet.

The Champions League finalists are said to want to wait until the end of the season so they can evaluate their situation and what reinforcements they need.

After falling out of favour with boss Jose Mourinho, Darmian has been linked with a move with the Biaconeri over the last three transfer windows.

The former Torino right-back has made just 12 appearances in all competitions for the club, and been frozen out of the squad this season.

Darmian made his first appearance in over a month when he came in the 90th minute in United's 2-1 victory over Liverpool on March 10.

With Antonio Valenica in right-back, Darmian has been unable to dislodge the Ecuadorian, and has become frustrated at the lack of opportunities.

Roma and Napoli have both been linked with a move for the one-time best right-back in the Serie A.

Juve will need to replace Switzerland international, Stephan Lichsteiner, who is set to leave at the end of the season.

However Mourinho is reportedly reluctant to sell Darmian, despite not being in his starting XI as he sees him as a good squad player.

United have a semi final date in the FA Cup with Tottenham at the Wembley Stadium, but were knocked out of the Champions League last 16 by Sevilla with a 2-1 aggregate scoreline.
