Sergio Aguero, a former Manchester City striker, has maintained that Lionel Messi, his former national teammate, is the greatest of all time, despite Cristiano Ronaldo's 60th career hat-trick on Saturday.
In response to a youngster, Alejandro Garnacho, who lauded his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, as the greatest footballer ever, Aguero repeated that Messi is the greatest football player of all time.
Garnacho, a Manchester United teenager, shared a photo on Instagram after receiving the hat-trick match ball from Ronaldo.
For the first time in his career, Garnacho was named to Ralf Rangnick's matchday squad.
After Cristiano scored three goals to lead the Red Devils to a 3-2 victory over Norwich, Cristiano presented him with the hat-trick match ball.
The 17-year-old Spanish winger publicly expressed his gratitude towards Ronaldo, with a post on social media captioned “greatest of all time”.
And in response, Aguero, who recently retired from football over heart-related ailment, expressed his disagreement with the youngster.
“[You are saying this] because you still haven’t played with the best, Lionel Messi,” wrote Aguero.
