Real Madrid cum Croatian midfielder Luka Modric took home the UEFA Men's Player of the Year award on Thursday, as theCroatia international was rewarded for his role in LosBlancos' run to a third straight Champions League title.

Also, it was a Madrid show today as all the men winners were from Los blancos. Keylor Navas clinches the best goalkeeper award, Sergio Ramos was awarded the best defender, Modric took away the impressive midfielder award while the erstwhile Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was given the best forward after scoring 15 goals in the competition.
Meanwhile, in the 10 man l FIFA best player award list which is scheduled to hold in September 24, Modric, Salah and Ronaldo are still among the top 10.
With Modric winning the Uefa men's player of the year today, he has become the first Croatian to win the award.
