Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has smashed Cristiano Ronaldo’s four-year record and is now Serie A’s jump king.
The Nigerians leapt 2.58 meters during their commanding 3-0 away win over Spezia.
Osimhen achieved the incredible feat of scoring his first goal and Napoli’s second of the day at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
After a goalless first half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Osimhen added the second in the 68th minute.
The 24-year-old produced a staggering 71-centimeter leap and reached a height of 8.47 feet (2.58 meters)—higher than the crossbar (8.4 meters)—before heading past Spezia goalkeeper Bartomiej Drgowski.
And according to Corriere dello Sport, with that jump, Osimhen climbed to a height of 2.58 meters.
He has now set a new Italian Serie A record, breaking the previous 2.56-meter mark set by Ronaldo for Juventus against Sampdoria in 2019.
