Ace journalist Piers Morgan has sent a message to Arsenal after Manchester United terminated Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract on Tuesday.
He urged the Gunners to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The termination of Ronaldo’s contract did not come as a surprise to many football followers, following his interview with Morgan last week.
The 37-year-old superstar had slammed Erik ten Hag and United’s hierarchy, making serious claims about how the club is now being managed.
Manchester United announced on Tuesday that his contract had been terminated with immediate effect.
The decision means Ronaldo is now free to join a new club after the World Cup after failing to secure a move away from United in the summer.
Chelsea are leading the race to sign the football icon with Sporting CP, and a switch to Major League Soccer is also an option.
But Morgan, a die-hard supporter of Ronaldo and Arsenal, wants the Gunners to snap up the Portugal captain on a free transfer
Tweeting after Ronaldo’s United exit was confirmed, Morgan posted a picture of Ronaldo holding up an Arsenal shirt with his name and number on the back, along with the caption: “Time for Phase 2.”
