Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United's interim manager, believes Manchester City and Liverpool will meet in the Champions League final this year.
According to Rangnick, Man City and Liverpool, according to Rangnick, have both upgraded their squads and are currently the finest two teams in the world.
Last week, Liverpool defeated Villarreal 2-0 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, while Man City defeated Real Madrid 4-3.
“If you think of Manchester City and Liverpool, they bring in [players] every transfer window,” Rangnick told Sky Sports.
They strengthened the team; they brought in players who were not that popular at the time they signed on and developed into the two best teams in the world.
I would not be surprised if they played in the Champions League final in a few weeks.
“This shows it’s possible that this can happen and it would not necessarily need three, four years in order to do that.”
