Austria's national team coach, Ralf Rangnick, has officially ruled himself out of contention for the managerial position at Bayern Munich.
Despite ongoing talks and speculation about a potential deal, Rangnick released a statement on Thursday affirming his commitment to leading the Austrian team.
In his statement, Rangnick expressed his dedication to his current role, stating, "I'm fully invested in coaching the Austrian team and am focused on our shared objectives." He emphasized that his decision was not a rejection of Bayern Munich but rather a prioritization of his team and their goals.
With Rangnick's withdrawal from consideration, Bayern Munich is now faced with the task of finding their next manager. The club had previously been rejected by Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen.
