We will be enlightening on the top 10 biggest stadium in Africa in terms of capacity and not aesthetic. Only one Nigeria stadium makes the list. 


10. Stade Olympique de Radès. TUNISIA 

It is located in Tunisia. The facility can host up to 60,000 people. 

It is a multipurpose facility that is mainly used for soccer and athletics. 

9. Stade Municipal de Kintélé. CONGO

The Congo-based stadium hosts 60,000 people.

 It is mainly used for football and athletics and hosts the national team. 

8. Moshood Abiola National Stadium. NIGERIA 

 It is a multipurpose stadium serving as the home to the national football team. 

It also offers venues for cultural, social, as well as religious events. It has a capacity of 60, 491 sitting. 

7. Ellis Park Stadium. SOUTH AFRICA 

The South African stadium is also one of the largest in the continent. 

It mainly hosts football and rugby matches and is sometimes used for large concerts. 

It has a sitting capacity of 62,567. 

6. Stade du 5 Juillet. ALGERIA 

The Algerian-based stadium hosts 64,000 people sitting. 

It is an athletics and football stadium that was inaugurated in 1972. 

It started by having a capacity of 95,000 which went down to 80200 in 1999 after renovations. 

5. Stade Mohamed V. MOROCCO 

The stadium is part of the big athletic complex situated in Casablanca, Morocco, in the western part of Maarif district. 

It has a capacity of 67,000 sittings and was inaugurated on March 6, 1955. 

4. Cairo International Stadium. EGYPT 

Formerly known as Nasser stadium, this Egypt-based stadium has a capacity of 74,100 seats.

3. Stade des Martyrs. CONGO

This is one of the largest soccer stadiums in Africa. 

It is located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

 It has a sitting capacity of 80,000.

2. Borg El Arab Stadium. EGYPT 

The Borg is located in Egypt

It is one of the biggest stadiums in Africa, coming second in capacity.

It is often called the El Geish Stadium Alexandria, which was commissioned in 2005. 

The 86,000 all-seater capacity stadium is the largest in Egypt.

1. Soccer City Stadium Or FNB Stadium. SOUTH AFRICA 

This stadium goes by many names.

The stadium is located in South Africa and It is one of the biggest stadiums in South Africa.

It has a capacity of 94,736 seats and the best stadium in Africa.
